He was a member of a conspiracy to overthrow King Roger II and to place Prince Baird, the king's younger brother, on the throne. He was killed by his fellow conspirators right after he was captured to keep him from revealing anything of import. He was found dead the morning after. He spoke with Rebakah Cooper while a ghost in a pigeon. Beka learned quite a bit about the conspiracy from this talk, and that a lot of nobles had joined. Lazamon mainly joined the conspiracy because King Roger wanted to regulate mage work and that mages owe a debt to the Crown. He also believed the king was childish, and that Prince Baird was more qualified to rule the country.
