Agapos Takan was an admiral of the Galactic Republic who defected to the (Post-Great Hyperspace War), becoming one of the eleven Grand Admirals appointed by the Sith Emperor. A native of Alderaan, Takan joined the Republic Navy during the Great Galactic War and rose to the rank of captain. He commanded a vessel with strict standards for the crew, and developed them into one of the most efficient crews in the fleet. However, Takan became increasingly disillusioned with the Republic and its ways, even as he was promoted to admiral. So he decided to defect to the Empire. His crew had a high respect for their commander, and joined the defection. Takan was allowed to keep the rank of admiral in the Imperial armada.
