An Entity of Type : owl:Thing, within Data Space : dbkwik.org associated with source dataset(s)

Squadron Baker was a squadron of Maquis starships in 2371. The ships of this squadron had their warp signatures faked, so that they would appear on sensor technology as the USS Defiant. The Defiant was under the command of the Federation Starfleet turned Maquis officer Lieutenant Thomas Riker. As the Defiant entered Cardassian space, this squadron launched a diversionary strike against Outpost 61 in the Almatha sector. During the strike, one of the Maquis ships was scanned and this scan alerted Commander Benjamin Sisko that the Defiant was not responsible for the attack on the outpost. The phase variance and subspace harmonics were not a match for the Defiant. (DS9: "Defiant")
