- Big Bones are bones that are always dropped from the various giants. Players can bury big bones to receive 12.5 Prayer experience. Big bones are the second highest leveled bones in RuneScape Classic, only beaten by dragon bones.
- Big bones being an item that is dropped by most larger monsters, can be used to level up Prayer. This type of bone is the second lowest tier, and offers the mediocre experience per action compared to the other bones. This bone, just like the others, can be buried, used on an altar, or be made into Bonemeal.
- Big bones worden gebruikt in de Prayer skill. Ze geven 15 experience per stuk, en zijn daarom erg populair voor training bij niet-members. Veel grote monsters in Gielenor droppen Big bones. Voorbeelden zijn Hill Giants, Moss Giants en de Giant Frogs. Ook zijn de Big Bones bekent om te verkopen. Je kunt Hill Giants vinden in de Edgeville Dungeon. Om daar in te komen heb je alleen een Brass key nodig. Vroeger lagen er Big bones in de Boneyard, maar sinds de Bounty Hunter er is gekomen is de Boneyard verwijderd.

They are usually dropped by abnormally large monsters, such as any type of giant, including giant frogs, and ogres. The only free-to-play monsters that drop big bones are hill giants, moss giants, giant skeletons, and ice giants, along with the mastyxes and other large creatures of Daemonheim. Since 17 November 2009, big bones can be used with the Bones To Bananas and Bones To Peaches spells.
