In Battlefield Vietnam, the M55 is an emplacement used by the United States military. It comprises four heavy machine guns which are fired simultaneously, and a shield to cover the gunner. It is capable of turning around 360 degrees. Its role is essentially an anti-aircraft turret, which is very effective against enemy infantry, helicopters and even jets. It mostly appears near base flags, to aid in defence.
