The Rue pet is an item that can be found while training Runecrafting. It can be used to unlock the Rue pet. It is unlocked by training Runecrafting via crafting runes at Runespan or at runecrafting altars, including using unstable essence. Receiving this pet is based on the amount of experience awarded at once; the more experience granted, the greater the chance of gaining this pet. With the exception of the demonic skull, the chance is not affected by experience boosters. Handing in runes to Yellow wizard does not have a chance of rolling Rue. Although siphoning from Runesphere does have a chance of a pet, handing in the dusts to a depleted Runesphere does not. When a player obtains the pet, they receive one of the following messages:
