Arai Toge (荒い棘, Arai Toge; lit. "Wild Spine/Rude Splinter") is a former Samurai, a high ranking ninja and a top notch merc originally hailing from Kirigakure. At some point in his life, Arai became affiliated with Myriad of Vultures and worked for them but later on left them to live a lone life of a mercenary. He is also responsible for training multiple young characters of this generation. During the war, he instead of standing by Kirigakure or avoiding it, he sided with Uzushiogakure. Interestingly enough, Arai also seemingly possesses the ability to absorb human beings on molecular level, thereby allowing him to gain access their memories, techniques and even kekkei genkai while retaining all of his own abilities. Thereby, essentially using them as "human meat suit".
