The DSC was designed to be a companion item to Moog's Source monophonic synth, and it had a membrane control panel that mimicked the style and colors of the Source's panel. The DSC never went into production. It is generally thought that two prototypes were built, circa 1982. The unit would have interfaced to external synths using a series of CV/Gate and trigger jacks. Few specifics or performance parameters are known. Possibly the unit did not go intro production because, at the time, MIDI was about to be introduced to the public, and the DSC did not support MIDI. At least one prototype is known to exist, and is in possession of the Audities Foundation.
