  • Dark Zealots are elite soldiers within Darktan's Army who are, without doubt, loyal to Darktan. They are trained as specialists, with some having roles in stealth while others serve as shock troopers. Dark Zealots comprise of many species, mostly Fords and Dark Penguins but penguins who have proven themselves loyal to Darktan's Army may obtain the status. Dark Zealots will complete a mission without any care for the costs. This was shown in numerous skirmishes between Dark Zealots and the Good Guys during the Great Darktonian Pie War. They are trained to operate independetly with very little support. There are five types of zealots; Stealth Zealots (masters of cloaking devices), Shock Zealots (Darktan's shock troopers), Ranger Zealots (Zealots with jet packs), Hunter Zealots (armed from head to waddling flipper, they are armed with a special laser plus freeze thrower), and Skirmisher Zealots (specialist skirmishers). Inside the Darktonian Realm Dark Zealots directly answer to Darktan and no one else. At the time of The Fall and Rise of Darktan they took orders from Mectrixctic or the Conclave of Doom but that was only then. When not a battle they patrol the realm or serve as honour guards. In war however, they operate independently, to complete a certain goal with very little support.
