An illuminated advertising sign for the King Mei was attached to the ceiling and used as a makeshift source of lighting. (TNG: "Legacy" ) Several illuminated advertising signs were seen in the underground city, used as a source of light. Many of them had Asian characters, the sign for the King Mei was the only one clearly legible, however.
