| - The Holy Lance is a recurring weapon in the Dragon Quest game series franchise.
- The Holy Lance or Longinus Lance is a recurring weapon and skill associated with the wielders of this weapon. The lance's effect is equal to that of the Impale skill, but it deals damage which is both piercing and holy and has another added effect of dispel and various random status effects and added effects.
- Holy lance is a cleric spell. The invasion of the Orcish hordes has necessitated our divining a method to protect not only ourselves, but the whole of the people of Azeroth, as well. The use of physical violence is not the calling of our order, but each force must be met with an equal force for the balance of good and evil to be preserved. As the archangels took up swords of light to defend the heavens, so must we take up holy arms to defend our lands. The pure essence of the casters heart, mind, and soul strikes out to defend him from threat, and enters into the soul of the target. This is especially effective against the Orcs because of their dark and evil origins. (W1Man #?)
- The is located at item number 415. The weapon has no changes in Elona+, but the stray pixels that were in the sprite at the end of Elona were removed.
- Holy Lance (Dt.: Heilige Lanze) ist ein hoher Zauber vom Element Licht.
- The Holy Lance (also known as the Spear of Destiny, Holy Spear, Lance of Longinus, Spear of Longinus or Spear of Christ) is the instrument used by the Roman soldier to pierce the side of Jesus while he was on the cross. There are three accounts of what happened to the lance. The best known claim is that of the Constantinople relic, also known as the Vatican Lance. It was found in Constantinople by St. Antoninus of Piacenza in 520 CE. By the 8th century, it had ended up in Paris. After the French Revolution, the lance was moved to the Vatican and has not left Rome since.
- The first appearance of this spell is in the original Tales of Destiny, where it is available exclusively to Swordian Clemente. All of the Swordian masters are capable of using the spell while Clemente is equipped. The PlayStation 2 remake of the game applies this spell exclusively to Philia Felice, who now has sole possession of Clemente. In this remake, the spell is revised to allow an initial spike of light to shoot from beneath the enemy, launching it into the air and keeping it trapped in place while it is assaulted by the other spears.

In Tales of Eternia, Holy Lance is available to either Keele Zeibel or Meredy, based on who has Rem in their Craymel Cage. The other character must have Maxwell in their Craymel Cage, and the two Craymels must be fringed together. In Tales of Symphonia, Holy Lance is a move that can be learned by Raine Sage, providing Photon has been mastered and Raine is aligned with the "Strike" type of arte progression. Its "Technical" counterpart is Ray. In addition, Holy Lance also had a Dark-elemental equivalent named Bloody Lance, which is only usable by enemies. Holy Lance is also one possible key to unlocking Raine's mystic arte, Sacred Shine, in the PlayStation 2 port of the game. The spell did not return in Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. Tales of the Abyss features Holy Lance as a spell learned by Tear Grants. The spell provides a fully charged Light-elemental FOF Circle, which can be used to activate Fire- or Wind-based FOF Changes. In addition, Holy Lance can change into Cluster Raid when activated within a complete Earth- or Dark-elemental FOF Circle. Holy Lance returns in Tales of Innocence. It is learned by Ange Serena after she has reached an appropriate level of mastery for Ray, building on her Light-elemental focus. It is also learned by Hermana Larmo without any requirements, continuing Hermana's ability to use high-level offensive magic of all elements. Tales of Vesperia also features the spell, this time usable by Estelle. Holy Lance is the key to unlocking Estelle's altered arte Holy Rain, which is obtained by using Holy Lance with the "Deluge" skill equipped, until it is mastered. Holy Lance can also be used by Flynn Scifo, available only during his duel with Yuri Lowell as an enemy attack in the Xbox 360 version of the game. The PlayStation 3 port enables Holy Lance to be learned normally while Flynn is with the party.

When the French Revolutionary army was approaching Nuremberg] it was moved to Vienna for safe-keeping. On the outset of World War II, it was seized by Adolf Hitler, and at the end of World War II, it was returned to Austria by General George S. Patton. The day the lance was taken into custody by the US, Hitler committed suicide. It is currently held in the Schatzkammer, in Vienna. The third, the Echmiadzin Lance, was discovered by the First Crusade in Echmiadzin, Armenia. There is no conclusive proof for what happened to the lance after this, but some believe that it fell into the hand of the Turks and is, in fact, the same lance that the Vatican currently holds.
