Synopsis
  • Psycho-Man zaps She-Hulk with his Fear-Ray & dumps her in the harsh, dank and deadly mines of Nuvidia with cruel jailers Daldo & Greeb. Her strength is nothing when she is paralyzed by fear, begging for mercy. She is forced to haul rocks as they whip her. Psycho-Man tortures the FF with their own thoughts. However, he concentrates his efforts mostly on the Invisible Girl, giving her some very scary and ghoulish visions. Susan Storm watches helplessly as a cannon fires a projectile at her brother and then Johnny Storm falls to the ground and dies in her arms. Sue looks on in horror as Ben Grimm is eaten away by a lake of acid. Reed belittles Sue for not using her force field to save Ben. He calls her a useless female. She then witnesses the shocking scene of her husband impaled by giant spikes. Overcome by grief and shock, the blonde girl falls to the ground and sobs. Psycho-Man then sends Sue a vision of her parents coming to her, but they are in the form of skeletons. The blonde girl's skeleton-father shakes her. Susan Storm is on the verge of a complete emotional collapse. Her husband, Reed Richards, knows that Sue cannot take much more of Psycho-Man's torture. Trapped in a large tube, Mr. Fantastic melts his body away to such a fine point that he is able to escape his prison through the smallest crack. He defeats Psycho-Man, thus saving his wife in the process.
Notes
  • * At the end of the story is a brief promo for the next issue of Fantastic Four saying "the last appearance of the Invisible Girl". * This issue has no letters page. In its place are adverisements for Squadron Supreme Limited Series and the Eternals Limited Series.
