Electro stunners, were small hand-held pistols used by the hutts during the Second Galactic Civil War. The weapon fired a small bolt of electricity, which was devastating to droids, in that it could heavily damage a droid's internal systems, but it was less effective against living organisms. The outer shell of it was made of peraxium, so electrical discharges wouldn't travel up the weapon to the wielder's hand, it was for this reason that it was popular amongst cautious soldiers and mercenaries.
