Beth Reed was a female Human who lived during the time of the Old Republic. She was a young woman who met, befriended, and later become the lover of the Human mercenary Rick Mulluns. She was mostly a medical expert, usually healing the wounds of others and mostly Mulluns after most of his jobs. Beth stayed with Mulluns for the remainder of her life, even after he was made blind at a young age, and the two eventually planned to get married. However, after she accompanied Mulluns on a mission to take down a Trandoshan camp, Beth was ambushed and held hostage by an unidentified Dark Jedi, who was following Mulluns for sometime.

She was mostly a medical expert, usually healing the wounds of others and mostly Mulluns after most of his jobs. Beth stayed with Mulluns for the remainder of her life, even after he was made blind at a young age, and the two eventually planned to get married. However, after she accompanied Mulluns on a mission to take down a Trandoshan camp, Beth was ambushed and held hostage by an unidentified Dark Jedi, who was following Mulluns for sometime. After refusing the offer to join the Dark Jedi, Mulluns fired blasts at the Dark Jedi, who easily deflected them back at the Mercenary before he thrust his saber into Beth's back and out her chest. Her death enraged Mulluns to open fire even more, catching the Dark Jedi by surprise, killing him as well. Their deaths would not be the end of them, however. Sometime after Mulluns became a Cyborg and left the Jedi, he started to have strange visions through his mask, and he soon saw that both Beth and The Dark Jedi were appearing as ghosts through his eyes. Only he was able to see them and hear them, and the spirit of his dearly beloved was the only thing left in him that represented good and healed his wounds. It turned out there was an advantage though. As Mulluns gripped with his mind that felt like it was tearing itself apart, Beth was all that remained of the good side of Mulluns while The Dark Jedi remained as a dark presence. Two spirits trapped inside a Human Cyborg, one wanting to help the man who she loved while the other wanted to turn him into something worse than he was before being killed by Mulluns. Mulluns wanted nothing to do with either, casting both light and dark sides of the Force away and wanting nothing to do with it. After Mulluns went on his quest to destroy the Force, it was unknown what happened to Beth's spirit.
