Linda's Brownies As many of you probably already know, I had a wonderful friend, Linda, who died from cancer in 1994. We knew each other since we were 5-years-old and attended the Ohio State School for the Blind all through the 12th grade. Linda was a wonderful cook and I'm going to be posting some of her favorite recipes from time-to-time. I just wanted to share them with my friends. I know she'd like that. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 1/2 cup, (one stick) butter or margarine 1 cup granulated sugar four eggs 1 tsp vanilla 1 can Hershey's syrup 1 cup sifted flour 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1 cup chopped pecans.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 1/2 cup, (one stick) butter or margarine 1 cup granulated sugar four eggs 1 tsp vanilla 1 can Hershey's syrup 1 cup sifted flour 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1 cup chopped pecans. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and mix well. Add all other ingredients and mix thoroughly. Bake on a lightly greased and floured 10 by 15 inch jellyroll pan for 20 to 25 minutes or until brownies test done. While brownies are baking, prepare frosting. Bring to a boil the following: 1 cup granulated sugar 2 tbs margarine or butter 1/2 cup milk. After mixture has reached a rolling boil, remove from heat. Quickly stir in 1, 12 ounce package semisweet chocolate chips. Mix well. Frost brownies as soon as you remove them from the oven. Let cool completely before cutting into squares. Very rich and good!!! Enjoy.
