In 1984, a high-ranking interrogator who spoke Afrikaans was stationed at Kiziba Camp. He proceeded to interrogate four British prisoners to find out who among them was responsible for getting the MPLA oilfield rights, and intended to have all of them executed after getting the information. Because he himself did not speak English, he always had an interpreter near him to relay what he said to the prisoners and inform him of what the prisoner said.
