An Entity of Type : owl:Thing, within Data Space : dbkwik.org associated with source dataset(s)

Quite a long time ago, the password system was changed to a more secure passphrase system. Those with passwords as opposed to passphrases were permitted to log in, and when they did a warning was sent that they needed to change their password to a passphrase. Now, passwords are not being accepted at login, and only a passphrase is a valid means of logging in. Apparently many, many players ignored the password->passphrase warning, and can not log in since they never converted their password to a passphrase. So, the staff is getting a lot of mails.

  • Quite a long time ago, the password system was changed to a more secure passphrase system. Apparently many, many players ignored the password->passphrase warning, and can not log in since they never converted their password to a passphrase. So, the staff is getting a lot of mails. * You didn't lose your character. * You very likely were not hacked. * You will have to be patient while the staff responds to the mails about passwords not being accepted. * The policy regarding the staff not supporting traded or shared characters still applies while we review the information on those that mail about access problems. This means that if your character was shared or traded, and you ignored the warnings to change to a passphrase, you very well might be out of luck. * If you are having this problem, then mail the staff via group mail. If you can log in to the game, then clearly this does not apply to you
