The Drovian Democratic Movement (DDM) has only recently emerged, in response to what they perceive as dangerous reactive, traditionalist forces spear-headed by the Saviant Front. The Gharian government not-so-secretly supplies the DDM and its leader, Seth Carrigan, with money. They want the colony to remain in the Federation and heavily object to their new prime-minister's sympathy for entities demanding emancipation. The movement is divided on how to achieve their goal. While some insist on a peaceful, democratic solution, others are ready to use violence in pursuit of their goals.

| - The Drovian Democratic Movement (DDM) has only recently emerged, in response to what they perceive as dangerous reactive, traditionalist forces spear-headed by the Saviant Front. The DDM are made up of non-religious Drovian citizens and non-practicing Saviants. They think highly of the Federation's way of life and wish for their own planet to embrace it. They object to New Joran's isolationist policies and believe that it cannot work (as well) for Drovia because of its highly specialized economy. Without them knowing, Abbott Dyson is currently one of the most dangerous people for the DDM. He hopes to hurt their and Ghara's public reputation badly to undercut their supposed moral superiority and to facilitate the colony's emancipation. Read more about the DDM's history in the article on Drovia.
