Even though they are fans of technology and are highly intelligent, they still have their side of romance. They only had have one fight shown in the seven seasons they have been together. From this relationship, Tecna had to learn to accept her emotions alongside logic. This one something that was a great struggle to her, most evident in Season 1. Eventually, as time progressed she has accept her emotions as well as equally balanced logic as well. The greatest proof of her acceptance in emotions and love, was in Season 3 when Stella, Musa and Tecna had to enter the Crystal Labyrinth in order to attain the water stars. When given the choice of logic and numbers, and feelings of love Tecna wanted so badly to choose feelings and love but chose the former for the sake of the Magic Dimension.

While she had some hesitations, in the comics, Tecna's feelings for Timmy is very clear - should anyone flirt with him, she would lash out at them and become extremely jealous, and scolds Timmy for not paying attention. Timmy too, had grown from this relationship. He had been very shy and can still be sometimes. He would get nervous when he is around Tecna and would try to communicate with her through technology (which did not work very well and would always confuse him if she was not being reciprocal). As time progressed, it is shown that Timmy has certainly improved as a boyfriend, he less shy and is very brave and not afraid to show Tecna that he does love her, In Season 4, they were upgrading their love by kissing and supporting.
