Jon was given the egg by Roxy and Charlie in Looking After The Eggs! after he helped look after the place along with April, Mary and Drake. Jagnmo-o hatched from the egg in Headbutting Jangmo-o, but was slightly aggressive towards Jon at first. However, after what happen with Team Rocket, Jangmo-o liked Jon and wanted to travel with him. In Strength Comes In All Pokemon, Mary made a comment about all of Jon's current party have evolved and that they are stronger. Jangmo-o took this the wrong way and thought that Jon wouldn't want him as his Pokemon anymore and ran off. However, later on Jon found him fighting and Alolan Exeggutor with a Hakamo-o helping Jangmo-o out. After beating Alolan Exeggutor, Hakamo-o showed Jangmo-o how to use Draco Meteor but Jangmo-o hasn't perfected the move. Jan

In Jon Against Nathan! First Battle On Ula'ula Island! Jangmo-o was used to help break Typhlosion and Lucario out of the cage, however Jangmo-o stopped listening to Jon's commands and even attacked Jon. While at the observatory, Jangmo-o got even more restless and was around some other trainers Rockruff, while also around April's Rockruff. Jangmo-o accidently knocked Jon off the edge of the mountain but felt upset and snapped out of his enraged state. During the Green Flash Sun Set, Jangmo-o evolved into Hakamo-o alongside April's Rockruff, when she evolved into Lycanroc. Hakamo-o mastered Draco Meteor upon evolving and also learnt Sky Uppercut.
