TPPC has had promotional pokemon as an option to users since a very early time. Originally the promos were things such as Caterpie, Weedle, Magicarp, Geodude and others all given at level 4, but as time progressed this change to level 5, and then to Shiny pokemon. Then at the creation of Team Rocket onto the RPG, Dark pokemon were added. Goldens have been in existance since an early time, first being GoldenLugia.
