Naftaly started Guitar and music lessons at the age of 5 and For years studied with different teachers from a wide range of music genres (Spanish, Classical, Jazz and Funk). At the age of 10, Naftaly began studying music and guitar at Funky Music School, where he met one of his mentors - Tony Pirson. Tony Pirson is an American Blues and Jazz guitarist, who played with James Brown, Tina Turner and many more. Pirson was a significant influence on Naftaly.

At the age of 10, Naftaly began studying music and guitar at Funky Music School, where he met one of his mentors - Tony Pirson. Tony Pirson is an American Blues and Jazz guitarist, who played with James Brown, Tina Turner and many more. Pirson was a significant influence on Naftaly. Naftaly then studied and graduated from Music Class in Hadassim high school, and immediately applied and was accepted to Rimon - School of Jazz & Contemporary Music's Arrangement and Compesition Class. At the age of 18 Naftaly had played all over israel in pubs and clubs with several bands. After 2 years he left the School and focused on Live concerts, Rehersel's, recording, and self learning. Naftaly is still studying guitar and music, focusing on Classical and Spanish music.playing a classical guitar with guidance and training by the Israeli brilliant guitar player, composer, songwriter and producer - Shlomo Yidov. These days Naftaly is performing with his blues band, promoting "A True Friend (Is Hard to Find)", performing with Sagol 59 as his lead guitarist and working on several new projects aswell. Also Naftaly writes a column on - E-Blues Magazine, about Guitar and The Blues. In January 2012, Ori Naftaly Recorded, Produced and Arranged an Oldschool Blues Album, Recorded live and mixed at LUNA Studios. The album reflects the power,soul, feel and energy that are present every time Ori Naftaly and his band come together on stage for a Blues & Soul concert. The Album features a group of guests from London, Chicago, Colorado and Israel who lead the Israeli Blues scene today. The Album hit waves all over the world and the local Blues scene. Naftaly was interviewed by the Jerusalem Post, and Ynet. He was invited with his band to play Live on several Radio Shows in israel. The album was reviewed by many Magazines and Radio Stations around the world. The album was a big success.
