Mary-Kate and Ashley was a clothing store released in the Starplaza on April 10th, 2008. The real brand store was based on the clothing line by the Olsen twins, known as Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Through a partnership with Dualstar Entertainment Group - the company that manages consumer brand clothing and accessories for MKA - Stardoll gained access to the MKA Brand, allowing them to sell it through the Starplaza. This deal also included a competition held in 2008, which asked users to create an outfit for Mary-Kate and Ashley. The winning user for each twin received all the clothing items, as well as their celebrity suites. A closing down sale was announced on July 4th, 2008, with a 25% off sale on all MKA brand items.
