The JEM7P features an American basswood body bolted to a maple Wizard neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with disappearing pyramid position markers. The fretboard is scalloped above the 21st fret. Components include pickguard-mounted DiMarzio pickups with dual PAF Pro humbuckers flanking a custom JEM single-coil, a double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines. Like the JEM7 RB, the JEM7P has a wider, unnotched monkey grip. The JEM7P was discontinued after 1992.
