Spirits of the courtyard, farmland, and pasture in Eastern Slavic folklore. The farmland, cattleshed, and stable were their grounds. They were less benevolent than the Domovoi, and if made angry, they could kill livestock. According to some versions of the folklore, they were subordinates of the Domovoi. Their name derives from dvor, the word for courtyard. It seems like Square confused these two. There is 1 Dvorovoi and many Domovoi.
