Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac is a version of Microsoft Office suite for Mac OS X. It is the successor to Office 2004 for Mac and is the OS X equivalent of Microsoft Office 2007. It was released on January 15, 2008, and is the last version to support Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.9 or higher and Macs with a PowerPC processor (G4 or higher) and newer Macs with Intel processors. It was followed by Office for Mac 2011, which required a Mac with an Intel processor and OS X 10.5 or later. Office 2008 is the last version to included Microsoft Entourage, which was replaced by Microsoft Outlook in Office 2011.
