Riara gave Eirian her name because she didn’t have one. Eirian was created post-Fall as an AGI. While this is a practice generally frowned upon, it wasn't as if she was used for particularly righteous intentions in the first place. She went through an accelerated childhood, if one can call it that, and was then promptly placed into employment for her creator. Her job? An escort. Her employer wanted a cheap labor force for the job, so didn't want real people, so stuck primarily to AIs. But, that lacked a deeper connection that a sentient being would have so Eirian was created for that task. Since Eirian was created specifically for a single job, she lacks much skills outside of making people feel comfortable and happy. This isn't to say that she doesn't have any skills at all beyond that of course. She still has some meager skills with which to defend herself should her client get out of hand. However, before long, the business had to be shut down. Sleazy and shady practices lead to sleazy and shady returns. Needless to say, Eirian was then without a job or home. But, it did lead to a new opportunity. The AGI's skills with people did not go completely without benefit, as a Firewall agent approached her....
