It has limited space for crew and no quarters designed for families or guests, a feature that is standard on Starfleet vessels assigned to long explorations. - The Vigilant is a fictional ship created by H. P. Lovecraft, which makes its only appearance in the 1928 short story "The Call of Cthulhu". It is a freighter owned by the Morrison Co. which originated in Valparaíso, Chile. En route to Sydney, the crew of the Vigilant sights the yacht Alert, populated by two surviving members of the schooner Emma, Gustaf Johansen and William Briden, the latter of whom has been dead for several days. - The Vigilant was a Zion hovercraft. When Zion's attack became imminent, the Council inquired of the fate of Morpheus and his ship, the Nebuchadnezzar, the Logos and the hovercraft Vigilant searched for the Neb. When they were met, the crew of the Vigilant volunteered to help Morpheus assist the One to enter the Source. Their task was to disable a backup generator of the local nuclear plant. Vigilant was destroyed by Sentinels before Soren, Vector and Binary could complete the mission, so Trinity went to finish the job.
