* The guard chamber is - to my understanding - where the guards of the treasury chamber wait for their shift, which is their turn to guard the treasury chamber, some sleep, others play games and of course some are on duty.
* The ancient laboratory is by far the most interesting and mysterious of all the Heart Rock. It is the sole birthplace of life created outside of Riverrise. Early in the first age of flight, Linius Pallitax attempted to create life there, just as the first scholars did- yet he succeed. He had created the Gloamglozer. Later, in the third age of flight, Nate Quarter and his friends discover, when Sanctaphrax returns, that the original Gloamglozer was using the ancient laboratory to create more of it's kind to rule Sanctaphrax and bring good citizens to their deaths. The only thing that can destroy the ancient life creator is phraxfire, from the phrax pistols of the Third Age of Flight. So far as I'm concerned, after the destruction of the gloamglozers and the ancient laboratory was destroyed, life was never again created outside Riverrise.
