This law is generally for the purposes of disclosing old material that has been classified for a long time. The procedure is outlined below 1.
* Members of The South Pacific may make a request for information (RFI) held in Government archives, after a period of 6 months have passed from the accepted* date of closure of the matter concerned. *(The accepted date can be interpreted as, but not limited to any of the following; Date of closure of topic/thread, date of court judgment, date of last post within a topic/thread, date of expulsion of member.) 1.
* If a request is made for material that is less than 6 months old, the Cabinet shall indicate clearly when the 6 months have elapsed. 2.
* Requests should be posted in the Prime Ministers Board 3.

* All information released into the public domain shall be at the discretion of the Cabinet. 4.
* The Cabinet reserves the right to refuse an RFI. 5.
* In the event of an RFI being rejected, the Cabinet will communicate the reason/s for refusal to the Assembly. 6.
* Should an RFI be rejected, a period of 3 months must pass before the same material can be requested. 7.
* Multiple RFIs for the same material will be treated as a single request. 8.
* The Prime Minister's office will make every effort to fulfill RFIs within 14 days. 9.
* All responses to RFIs will be posted within the Prime Ministers Board
