USS Fife (NCC-2372) was a Chandley-class frigate on active duty in Starfleet during at least the last quarter of the 23rd century. She was named after Commodore Charles Vincent Fife, commander of a Western Alliance surface naval squadron during the Persian Gulf campaigns of the Eugenics Wars. {FASA RPG: A Doomsday Like Any Other) Fife's hull was laid down about two years after USS Chandley was commissioned( ca. October 2274), and took its maiden voyage about four months later.

October 2274), and took its maiden voyage about four months later. In the mid-2280s, Fife patrolled the so-called Outback, the undefined borderspace between Romulan and Gorn territories.
