It was created by Ted Cooper Jr. after the breakup of the People's Progressive Party. Compared to the PPP, the Black Party had extreme right views. They briefly tried to shed the image of a highly restrictive, oppressive party to be seen as a good-willed group with concerns for the morals of the people of Dorvik. The party actively tried to impose its own morals on the citizens, which did not gained much support from the leftist parties.
