Hurricane Douglas was an incorrectly identified Pacific storm that made landfall in California, an extremely unusual circumstance. Douglas was an extratropical storm that was believed to be a Category 5. Douglas was the fourth named storm of the 2026 East Pacific hurricane season. Douglas killed over 1000 people in Southern California.
