The Level Checker is a mechanical enemy in Final Fantasy V. They aren't much of a threat as long as the player is aware of the party's levels. On its first turn, a Level Checker will use Search on a party member. On its second turn, it will either use Level 2 Old, Level 3 Flare, Level 4 Graviga, or Level 5 Death depending upon the targeted character. As it is possible to have the party obliterated in a single attack, it's advised to either flee from a monster set containing Level Checkers, or take them out before the second enemy turn.
