Ihk and his tribe believe in wolves, in fact believing that Humans have came from wolves. It is also believed that Ihk and the rest of his tribe know of Paradise like the wolves. When the wolves explain that they are looking for Kiba, Ihk believes that he may be in a place known as the Desert's Bones. After they find Kiba in a plant within the desert, some of Jagura's troops attack, but are soon paralyzed by the toxic plant and they bring Kiba back to the village. The elder of the tribe managed to bring back Kiba's spirit from the fake Paradise and tells them the legends of this world. He is in episode 19 and episode 20.

While Kiba's pack passes the village, Ihk tells them what happened with the dogs that had been injured and killed by Lady Jaguara's troops. Before the wolves leave, Toboe asks one last favor from Ihk; to find Quent to make sure he's all right. Ihk managed to find Quent and brought him back to health. When his dog howled, Toboe knew that they have found Quent and that he is safe.
