The Armalite AR-30A1 is a sniper rifle loosely based off of the Armalite AR-30. Unlike the AR-30, it does not chamber the .308 Winchester cartridge but it does use the .300 Winchester Magnum and .338 Lapua Magnum cartridges. It was introduced in 2012 as a replacement for the AR-30. It has two variants- Standard and Target. The Standard version has a fixed buttstock, and the Target version uses a knob-adjustable stock and advanced scope and accessory rails. Its empty weight is 13 lbs, and it has a 26 inch chrome moly barrel. Both the AR-30 and the A1 variant are based off of the Armalite AR-50 .
