The Interac Association is a Canadian unincorporated, not-for-profit association responsible for the development and operation of a national network of two shared electronic services: shared cash dispensing (ABMs) and direct payment (debit cards at the point of sale). Founded in 1984 as a cooperative venture by five of Canada’s financial institutions, today it has 85 members.
