Though we can deduce from his stats, he has 3.5 given for stamina (might be more now as it's been a while since the 3rd databook was released) it's neither too low or somewhat high in comparison to a middle-class example of a shinobi, meaning it's average. So his chakra reserves aren't nowhere of a jinchuriki's level, but in Choji's case (as an Akimichi) he only has as much chakra as calories (food) are available for him to convert, hope that answers your question.
