Afterwards, the Sword of Light was claimed by King Elias Acorn as a royal artifact of his house, in memory of Connery's sacrifice and to replace the objects destroyed in battle with Mogul. - The Sword of Light is an artifact found on the Deserted Planet in the Furthest Galaxy. It was used to transfer the Ranger powers from Jason, Zack, and Trini, to Rocky, Adam, and Aisha. Commonly mistaken for the Sword of Darkness and the Sword of Power, but it should be noted that all three are separate and distinct entities. They are not all the same sword, though they are present in the same series part (Mighty Morphin). It is never said why this was needed then (other than for the plot of the episode) and not needed in future "power transfers" like "A Different Shade of Pink" and "Passing The Torch".

The Sword is golden and covered in dazzling jewels. Following the destruction of the Power Chamber the swords current whereabouts is unknown. In the comic Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Pink, the Sword of Light is revealed to still be in the possession of Zordon and Alpha. It is used as a device to temporarily restore and upgrade the powers of past Power Rangers Kimberly Hart, Trini and Zack.

In order to give Sonic a "magical edge" over the recenltly restored Ixis Naugus, who had invaded the castle, Elias threw the blade to Sonic for him to use against the evil wizard. Elias later took it up against Naugus himself, and Sonic briefly took possession of it again to contend with Naugus before their battle came to a halt. Following Elias' decision to step down it remained in the possession of the republic, and was used by the new "King" Naugus to swear in Isabella Mongoose as a member of the Council of Acorn. However, the touch of the artifact was painful to the wizard, who quickly relinquished it. (StH: #223, #224, #241)
