Vermont is a state in New England, named for its "green mountains". The two major interstates in Vermont are I-89 and I-91, which both also traverse New Hampshire, at times. These interstates serve well if heading North and South, but not as much East and West. However, since they are many more drivers along these highways, traveling along them is almost always faster-- even if much greater in distance-- than any other route.
