He is also a peace-loving man who will always try to talk his way out of a fight, though he doesn't wish to insult his opponents by refusing to fight. He also dislikes taking the life of innocent people and will have no problem using his devil fruit ability on those whom he sees as scum. Though Frost tries to talk his way out of a fight, he does insist on fighting when the situation is grave and can become very cold when needed. Despite being one of the strongest and highest ranked members, he still treats the others as equals. Flame is extremely strong and powerful Person; He often appears aloof and indifferent, and rarely shows any emotions other than slight annoyance or dissatisfaction. He thinks highly of himself and is cruel to others, though he is quite protective of his minions. He cares very little for others, and thinks that other humans, while at times are useful, are merely Fools and ultimately expendable. He believes that Killing is the only way for survival. He especially shows great hatred for Frost, his other persona, who has the Yin to his Yang Abilities of the Tamashī Tamashī no Mi, a Devil Fruit that was obtained from one of their father's bounty missions, but this hatred towards Frost diminishes over time. Although Flame maintains a cool, uncaring, at times even heartless exterior, the presence of Muna at his heels is proof of his growing compassion. He not only tolerates another human, but also acts in an extremely protective manner towards her and rushes to her aid when she gets in trouble. Akainu later had some of his men kidnap her when she was sick as an attempt to catch him. Akainu's plan failed, When Flame ended up being very angry and not only killing all his men but critical injuring him and sinking his ship leaving him for dead.
