Jane is a character in Shadowrun Chronicles: Boston Lockdown. She is a scantily clad hacker who assists the player character in several missions by providing Matrix support. Eventually, she flies too close to the sun and ends up infected by the very forces she's trying to fight. Her symptoms become increasingly worse until she is finally given over completely to them. At this point, she becomes little more than a mouthpiece for the infection, and the shadowrunner team is forced to confront her. However, once she has been neutralized they have the choice of either allowing her to continue living, hopefully as a free woman, or to play it safe and put her down. Her fate will be revealed when the next chapter of the game is released in fall 2015, depending on the choice the majority of players
