The S620EXQM features a mahogany body with a quilted maple top with binding bolted to a maple Wizard II neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with offset dot position markers only on the twelfth fret. Components include dual humbucking pickups and a ZR double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut. Originally it was introduced with Designed by EMG pickups, but when those were discontinued after 2007 they were replaced by Ibanez Infinity pickups. The S520EX is a similar model without the quilted maple top. The S620EXQM was replaced for 2009 by the S620EXFB which has a bubinga top.
