Nicolas Fábián Mihalios (born 19 August, 1997) was a half-blood Hungarian wizard and eldest child of Alex and Nadia Mihalios (née Nagy). He has twin siblings, Mateo and Franciska, and is the godson of Marton and Julianja Nagy. He attended Corvinus Academy of Magic from 2007 to 2008, but he was picked on in school for his relation to his uncle Nicolas, who, in addition to being kicked out of the school for physical violence, had controversially burned the Corvinus flag after defeating the school in a Quidditch match in Romania. Nico was unwilling to deal with it and requested his parents to transfer him to another school. After learning Romanian during the summer from Mateo Maximoff, his father's best friend, Nico began attending the Carpathian School of Magic on the 11th of September.

He attended Corvinus Academy of Magic from 2007 to 2008, but he was picked on in school for his relation to his uncle Nicolas, who, in addition to being kicked out of the school for physical violence, had controversially burned the Corvinus flag after defeating the school in a Quidditch match in Romania. Nico was unwilling to deal with it and requested his parents to transfer him to another school. After learning Romanian during the summer from Mateo Maximoff, his father's best friend, Nico began attending the Carpathian School of Magic on the 11th of September. He tried out for the Quidditch team in his fourth year and became the team's Seeker. In his ninth year, he was chosen as the captain for Carpathia's Quidditch team and captained the team to victory in the European Junior Quidditch Championships by beating the team from his old school Corvinus. In retribution for the dirty tactics employed by Corvinus during the finals match, the Carpathian team had celebrated their victory by once again burning Corvinus' flag. Although applauded at home, this act all but cemented the permanent rivalry between Carpathia and Corvinus in addition to making it difficult for his two siblings who were yet to finish their education at Corvinus. In his final year, Nicolas was able to once again captain his team to the EJQC, where they faced off against a very angry Corvinus team in the quarter-finals, resulting in a brutal Quidditch match that lasted seven hours. After Nicolas was knocked unconscious via a club by one of other team's Beaters, a brawl ensued that saw the disqualification of both teams from the tournament. Despite the controversy around his' burning of the Corvinus flag, Nicolas was picked up by the Bucharest Basilisks Quidditch team as their star Seeker.
