Naruto: The Third War: A World in Tears (also referred to as A World in Tears) is the first book in the Naruto: The Third War series, focusing on the Third Great Shinobi War's western front, specifically the war around the region of the Land of Rain. A World in Tears followed the path of Shikaki Nara, a chūnin of Konohagakure who was assigned to the Rain Expeditionary Force and sent to battle against the Rock ninja already settled there at the outbreak of war.
