Due to a dispute over the ownership of the Dorados, Omuta was envolved in a war against Garissa in 2580, following which the Confederation imposed a thirty year system-wide embargo (2581-2611) due to Omuta’s foul play. The embargo has caused considerable damage to Omuta’s economy and society, which as of 2611 is back to very primitive levels.
