Mobbs was a boisterous hare of the Long Patrol at the mountain fortress, Salamandastron, under Lord Mandoral Highpeak. During one dinner in the mountain mess hall when Tiria Wildlough was present, Mobbs commented on Tiria's good looks, which got him teased by his friend, Gribbsy. This escalated into a name-calling quarrel between the two.
