The Aksani are a warp-capable race native to the Delta Quadrant. They reside in a region of space also occupied by the Antarians, the Chessu, and others. In 2377, the Aksani participated in the inaugural run of the Antarian Trans-stellar Rally. The Aksani threatened to withdraw unless they were allowed to host the post-race ceremony, which had already been promised to the Chessu by Ambassador O'Zaal. Captain Kathryn Janeway proposed instead that the festivities be held aboard the USS Voyager, as a neutral ground to all parties. (VOY episode: "Drive")
