Thirden, sometimes called "Squeaky", is a dwarf, a friend of Durkon Thundershield and of his mother Sigdi Thundershield. His hair and beard are light grey. He used to be a miner, but changed careers to become a bard, thereby developing a more correct speech than is usual for dwarves. When Durken was the dwarf equivalent to a human teenager, Thirden told him the story of how his father died and his mother lost her arm.
