This vessel was one of the ships that assaulted the USS Enterprise-D in the year 2368 while Enterprise was investigating an apparent rogue moon that turned out to be a transporter space station. The Zzin was accidentally materialized along with the Enterprise saucer section to a point outside of Federation space.
